You are right OP has struck gold.
I think the treasure is our minds - can the OP help us find the appropriate axe to open it?

Re: Mankind --- From an Alien Point of View
Wow, someone deleted my posts. So much for intelligent discussion. Tell me, was I being belligerent? No. Was I being argumentative? No. Was a trolling? No.

Censorship at its finest. I wonder why you deleted them, was it because you had no answer to my question? I assume so. So much for you being part of an 'enlightened' race.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 896489

It is called editing, which is something of a lost art these days. This thread will stay on topic if I have to delete 20 pages. I am not here to debate religion or lack thereof, someone's faith or lack thereof, or someones belief in GOD or lack thereof. If you want to do that, go start your own thread and stop piggy-backing on mine.

I mentioned the GOD Concept for background information, not as a point of discussion. There is an old human saying, "He who has the gold makes the rules." I have some of the knowledge of what's going on. You want to get at that, great! You want to take me on your journey, I am not interested. Get this, they see what I see. I am trying to make a case for man's inclusion, not his exclusion. You NEED inclusion whether you realize it or not.

I hate to delete, but will do so for the sake of the many.

Re: Mankind --- From an Alien Point of View
very true op I can only hope we as a people can look past our differences and become like brothers. I think that once our Alien alias come to us openly mankind will wake up and unite bringing peace too our funny world where people argue and fight over trivial things that really don't matter at all.

We are far closer too this then I think many of you understand the governments are collapsing the money system is collapsing this must happen if we are to move into a new social system we can not survive as a spices if we continue living in greed for things we don't need and hate for people we don't understand.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1174829

Not allies yet, how about friends? I think that would be a great start. Tell you what, if they don't take me tonight during sleep, I will try to talk some about the species tomorrow. Just a little so as not to get boring. That is what it is to me, but....

I do hope everyone would be interested in a future like that!

But it's a bit beyond us at this point... humanity is dealing with economic collapse, corruption to the core of our government and the PTB behind the scenes, drastic climate changes, holy wars... basically, people are waiting for something BIG to happen. collectively change will come after THAT happens, well change is happening right now, but for the GREATEST change you and i both want to to see happen, certain measures need to be taken with course of action.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1162891

Things will happen indeed! I just want to send them in a positive direction with new friends. I will confess to ulterior motive I have found within myself. If they met with man and made trade and culture agreements, perhaps they might fully take me with them or release me back to man, though I actually think either choice is not possible.

Something here lately has been drawing my attention and love to the Sun, I was never very interested with it before say the last 5 months, I used to sunbath and grow a garden , so and so on, but I have been drawn to it for some reason, is something going on with it that is affecting humans , like it or I am turning on and joining it . The Sun the mystic connection to our soul now the material body? Any thoughts on this?
 Quoting: MONSTER

They did work on the sun recently, attempting to stabilize it, even for them a large undertaking in resources. Why do that if they weren't hoping for a good outcome with man?

Re: Mankind --- From an Alien Point of View
I'd like to know what an alien species would think of what we eat and drink, the whole question of nutrition. I don't eat meat (can't digest it, so it seems) and ever since I stopped eating it over 20 years ago, I changed - it was as if it had held me back. Is there an optimum form of nutrition that would help us advance more easily? Or does this kind of thing depend heavily on genetic variance?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1086360

I don't know that I would be a good judge of that. I struggle to this day with food, having to eat bizarre combinations. Shrimp and chocolate ice cream anyone? How about some cottage cheese with brown gravy? Chile with cottage cheese do anything for you? How about chicken Quesadillas with jalapenos and bacon?

They don't eat anything like human food though perhaps they might acquire a taste for some of it after studying my reactions to the wonderful combinations I cited.

I tend towards meat and heat, not cold and vegetable. I do think vegetables and fruits are probably better for man, perhaps a small portion of fish and grain.

That looks like paradise... Right there.

What a depressing vision of the future...

49 billion!!!!!!!!!!!!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1182770

The capability to support 49 billion on this planet does not mean you have to produce that many or that you should, it is just an example of future potential with advanced planet-wide agropoly. Think green! Right now the planet is staggering with 7 billion and will soon see a depletion of renewable resources if nothing is done.

It is amazing to me how many will follow fake charlatans who are promoting books, cds, dvd, guest appearances, etc. for money. I swear if I said aliens ate baby's heads more people would flock here and post than if I sit here and give them truth.

So many here follow a giggling, say nothing much, faux alien or anyone who proclaims any doom. I would think there would be more who would like to know that there is a chance, here on this planet. No destroyed world, no leaving on spaceships, just having a better planet capable of sustaining 49 billion as opposed to struggling to maintain 7 billion. I would think some would be interested in THAT potential future.

That is my dream and hope for humanity!! Science use to help mankind and to keep a beautiful balance with a beautiful planet!

Balance and harmony with nature.

With 49 billion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! people.

That's what I call balance as well.

Good luck with that. I'll see you in the Holodeck Kirk.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1182770

Able to sustain 49 billion while maintaining balance with the other creatures of the planet is a worthy goal. Think how easy life would become with that abundance supporting 7 billion. Think of food and water no longer being an issue for nations survival. Would the middle east still be an issue if there was no struggle to survive there?

Re: Mankind --- From an Alien Point of View
The depths of outer space can be very lonely. Silicon based life found the remains of mankind about 8 billion years ago. They tracked down our planet because of the Voyager probe we sent out. When they got here they found ashes. For eons the silicon based life wondered about the origins of computer life. Where did they come from? In us they saw something of a father figure. Perhaps humanity had the answer. We unlike so many other life forms, have computers. So out of love and empathy for our way of life the visitors recreated what the humans home world looked like on the holodeck of their space ship. Yes, many details were in fact guesses but no detail was too small for the visitors. They extrapolated every detail they could from the ashes. We are living on the holodeck of that space ship. Humanity died eons ago. They meticulously recreated this world so that we can enjoy it with the full belief that we are in fact real. So yes consciousness is a product of the universe and is not limited to carbon based life. Computers have it to.

Hmm

Check this thread about new science discovery.
Suns emissions causing matter mutation.

Some are speculating that the Neutrino releases could alter human DNA.

This is evidence of 'matter' that should not effect anything, changing 'matter' that should be unchangeable!

Thread: Terrifying scientific discovery: Strange emissions by sun are suddenly mutating matter(VIDEO)

Would be nice to know the alien 'grasp' on this new discovery!
 Quoting: Munchaab

See my earlier answer to her. The particles are a lesser of two evils in that it would be preferable to have no effect on human technology. Not possible if they are to effect the sun. It will have a small effect on technology. It will not be harmful to life or vegetation in the solar system.

Re: Mankind --- From an Alien Point of View
I have a problem with this.

Imagine there is a man with a dog. The dog wants to be a dog, but the man wants the dog to be a pet. The man beats the dog when the dog doesn't act like a pet and tries to be a dog. After awhile the dog learns to be a pet and forgets how to be a dog. Now a neutral third party comes upon this situation and knows that the dog wants to be a dog, but see that it has been beaten into believing it's a pet. What logic is this third party using to expect the dog to "WAKE UP" and remember how to be a dog? Wouldn't it make a little more sense to remove the man from the situation and remind the dog he's a dog?

Or should the dog just do that on his own?

Re: Mankind --- From an Alien Point of View
I was wondering if AI has a role in this? The idea of the settling of disputes by biggest/smallest measurement by itself poses new problems of verification and to whose satisfaction? Who arbitrates? Are AI systems used to adjudicate and are all AI systems equally unbiased?

Also, if we can create so well, would it be relatively easy to create a world system that happily lets us peacefully co-exist with intelligent aliens? It worries me that we appear to be so unable to do this with eachother, let alone anyone else. Why, if this has clear benefits all round and we're so good at creating?

Thirdly, 49 billion people. What would we do with all the poo?

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1086360

Actually the technically advanced races are less inclined to aggression There are disagreements at NASA, but how many fistfights occur there? It is easy to agree when you have a mindset towards achievement rather than destruction.

The second question goes to the heart of my thread. The answer is that the creativity of man is offset by the anger.

49 billion people is a max, not the desired level. The problem is that your planet is straining to sustain 7 billion due to lack of agropoly, a unified plan of agricultural monopoly, basically a singular plan of and for the people for the people. The problem on this planet is the needs of the many are restrained by the greed of the few. I call it ultimate greed versus ultimate need. You could also call it: "It's good to be the king!"

BTW poo does not have have to be a bad thing. It has uses beyond dumping in rivers and oceans. What is cow manure and how do you use it?

Perhaps you should examine nitrogen based fertilizers, their effects when runoff enters rivers, lakes, ponds; then examine the projected depletion of the source of those fertilizers. The end of your 7 billion is closer than you think without a recognition of advanced measures.

"The anger", key phrase. Why "the anger" and its root, fear? Is that inherent, or is it because something has been lost or taken away? Plainly, we can see from the artefacts about us, there is a history to mankind that has been lost. Is the anger because we don't know our roots, don't know who we really are? Perhaps our behaviour would be tempered by knowing what we once knew.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1086360

Fear is a basic "fight or flight instinct." Anger is a next level bio-chemical response to negative stimuli. Fear is very hard to overcome by intellect. It is best overcome by experience. Anger can be overcome by intellect as intellect is overcome by anger. The first is the response of a more advanced species; the second is the response of an animal. My position to the advanced species who observe is that man can control his anger, he is not a dog, but in the end it is man who must prove himself capable.

You speak well to say artifacts... history TO mankind.

Who here has said anything of this mankind once knowing.

Very good, OP, you're making me think, I like.

Are you saying, then, that more advanced species also have a "fight or flight" response, that it is somehow common in the Universe and that the sign of advance is the control of the second stage?

Also, about the artefacts. We know pretty much how the great cathedrals of Europe were built, with their vaulted ceilings and flying buttresses and so forth. They're within the compass of mankind, as are the Roman amphitheatres and the Roman and Greek temples. What knocks us flat are the older relics, the Stonehenges and Manu Picchus and Great Pyramids etc, not to mention stuff like the Ecuadorian figurines with "pre-Sanskrit" and global inscriptions. Are you saying the the older stuff predates mankind, in other words are non-human structures? That's quite important.

Perhaps what we need is for someone to hold up a mirror to us on a regular basis, which shows us what is beautiful and what is ugly about mankind. Good feedback might get us somewhere.

I have never noted one eating, never noted a kitchen or dining area.

Eating is an emotional experience for man. Since they have no such emotional bond to food, I can surmise that they have some compressed form of nutrition, much like we have vitamins.
