It has said Pole with a capital P three times. When asked why it said "nearby" and "excited"

Freaky!

Wait, do you mean a real GB or a software based one? I'm assuming the latter since you know the P is capitalized..

Be careful is all I can think of !
I watched ghost box vids only once, all night, last year, and I still have the recording of the message that came in on my voice mail after i went to sleep.
Very odd.
Anyway, ask them if they know me. I have so many folks on the other side, I could start my own party, hahaha.

Na, not silly. I did the thing where you leave a mic on and leave the room. My piss poor broke headset mic kept saying "if" but my SM-58 with digital connection didn't pick up anything turned all the way up even though I could clearly chat-type from 1/2 way across the room. It's fun, I just wouldn't put much stock in the software one.

Nothing, however beats a good Ouija board as long as you realize trying to contact anything by name is like calling a stranger at 2am for no reason but your own jollies. =D

I have a nice surveillance system, no audio though. To be perfectly honest I dont want to hear whatever it is that we are sometimes seeing. Lol, I'd be like a 6yr. old pulling the covers up over my head trying to go to sleep.

Lucky!

I've lived in haunted houses and it's always been fascinating ever since the skeptic in me was shut down by a black shadow walking 8 feet away from me directly through my line of sight.

This house I live in now is completely and utterly void of any activity. Next time I move, I'm specifically asking if the house was officially blessed upon completion.. -_-

Yeah, I'm open for anything at this point myself, but I would <prefer> a decent one which is why I said it like that.

*sigh* Thanks for the support/luck... here's hoping.

I have no plans to go to PA or to look for work there as there is no way I could afford to move - let alone move half way across the USA.

Thanks though!

EDIT: Oh forgot - good luck in looking for a job yourself! It's worse than rough out there :(

The one I have is called Crosstalk and purchased at GreenvilleGhost.com. Latest word is "rose" and yes, it does behave differently depending on where the laptop is in the house. Sometimes it says nothing, sometimes it goes crazy. Sometimes what it says is relevant.

Not to hijack the thread, but I've picked up a pretty neat hobby. Just bought a few chickens. Those critters were going for 8-9 bucks a pop up to 20 for good roosters. 8x10 coup can hold 12 chickens. Fresh eggs go for 3-4 bucks a dozen here. It may seem like small potatoes, but it'll end up being an extra few hundred a month when I get it up and going proper.

The house definately has some "issues". It used to scare me but not so much anymore. The animals are still disturbed. The teenage boys (my sons) seem to think it's cool.

Sounds cool and definitely a good idea. Not sure I could get away with that in my one bedroom apartment.

Already have 2 guinea pigs (4 when my girlfriend is down for the holidays) and a cat. And no pet deposit. Granted the guinea pigs wouldn't be covered by the pet deposit anyway... they are against the lease technically - luckily the manager is nice and understanding of my situation.

Back to the topic though:

How does the program work? Does it take in input from the mic or something else? I know the physical one does something like scanning radio frequencies constantly (and randomly I think, not sure).

I had some friends with grandchildren 3-4 years old in a house they knew was haunted. The kids would be upstairs talking to another "little kid" and rolling a toy car back and forth to each other. Everyone got used to it except for one of their daughters new husband who made the mistake of being alone inside getting a set of keys they forgot. The entities didn't like him and cleared the whole kitchen countertop of it's wares as he was leaving. lolol
