From my experience, only Purehearts and sinners ever make their surrender. The Pureheart seeks closeness with God, and has tried everything, finally gets exasperated and gives Everything he/she has Unto The Father and finds themself IN HIS Presence...

The sinner is broken, has no one else to turn to, Loves God, but could never Trust HIM. The sinner makes their surrender totally and complete because their best thinking ruined their life and they are willing to Trust God and do HIS Will if HE will just take over their show...

I was a sinner, but purehearts think they are the worst of sinners...

About 10 days after I made my surrender God Showed me the effect my life on others if I returned to carnality. I wept not wanting to bring hurt to others I never even knew or interacted with...
