Consciousness is more than just electrical impulses in the brain.

Having the memories downloaded onto a computer is not gonna allow the computer to be alive and be the person that the memories are from.

This will be about as useful for bringing someone back to life as having a first person video recording.

According to the Bhagavad-gita, consciousness is a living spark of infinitesimal spiritual energy. When that spark of consciousness leaves the body, the body dies. That spark of consciousness cannot be transferred at will into a computer, because it is non material.
