Well, maybe there could be a 'veterans activist group' that provides counselling and helps to de-program soldiers when they come home. This group could also do outreach workshops so that kids don't enlist in the first place.

A friend from high school served in Irag, less them a month home from his first tour he hung himself in his parents basement. his then 12 year old sister found him. The things he told me he had to do over there, it's no wonder he did it. It's a sad truth, the military focuses so much on keeping the soldiers alive, but they don't pay attention to what's happening to there minds.

I would say: forming groups with like-minded people, in person, away from the all-seeing internet. These gropus would become connected to other groups, and it would grow and grow, like cells mutating.

EXACTLY. brothers and sisters who have returned from combat, this is CRITICAL...go see the VA (veterans administration hospital) when you return - even if you think it won't help or won't matter. first of all, you will find a support network beyond compare of like minded people who truly care about you...and nextly but just as importantly, you qualify for disability aid, that you will receive for yourself and your family, for the rest of your life. find out, use your initiative, never surrender, look for a reason to keep going on...
