Disinformation is defined as ‘misinformation that is deliberately disseminated in order to influence or confuse rivals.’ It is used by governments to mislead and brainwash their citizen populations, instigate wars, and blackmail foreign regimes. It is the ultimate instrument of the media. The most effective disinformation is that which is comprised of falsehood as well as facts. Wikileaks, founded by Julian Assange, fits this description perfectly, right down to the letter. Seemingly overnight, it has become one of the biggest ‘whistle-blowing’ agencies in modern history. In reality though, it is one of the biggest disinformation projects in modern history, and it may be the most dangerous because it is masquerading as an organization of truth. The information released by Wikileaks isn’t new; it isn’t groundbreaking; it doesn’t hurt the US as much as people think, it’s fractional really; and it is overloaded with as much as propaganda as the day-to-day Zionist media is. This propaganda is benefitting someone. And that someone is the illegal usurping entity of Israel. Even the Israeli government itself thinks so (1).

Yes, it is propaganda.
There is no way that these documents couldn't be stopped.
It is as ridiculous as thousands of illegal immigrants crossing the borders, and 'powerless' USA can't do a thing about it, but they can radiate or pat down their citizens.

Propaganda. I think this 'incident' will be the excuse to control internet.

I was using Wikileaks years ago for sensitive information about regimes, cults, controversial movements, etc. It was an excellent resource at that time, and i still think it is.

About all these new conspiracy theories about Wikileaks: i do not think Wikileaks could be hijacked just like that without any evidence which indicates that. It just seems too far-fetched to me, personally i don't see such a connection.

All the negative talk in the media about Assange and Wikileaks published recently is, in my opinion, just a smear campaign. Such Inception-style 'conspiracy within a conspiracy' talk just seems too paranoid, and too unreal to be true, to me.

Reporters Without Borders seems to think the same, while they have criticized Wikileaks before, for publishing information which could lead other governments to identifying US informants.

I agree, it is ridiculous!! Controlling the internet is just another part of their agenda.

It's obvious the Government can PULL ANY SITE THEY WANT because ICANN is controlled by the US.

It doesn't make sense why the Government hasn't pulled Wikileaks unless the Government is in on it.

The government should fear us, not the other way around.

It is powerful, but not invincible and omniscient.

Wikileaks has always been, and will always be, a good source of sensitive information to me. That won't change unless i see clear evidence that the government is behind it. Haven't seen any of that. To me, personally, your theory does not seem very plausible, but it's an interesting perspective.

I find it so strange that WikiLeaks is getting so much media attention - a lot of news sites even opened a separate section. If "TPTB" really control the media, and they're scared of WikiLeaks, you would expect it would be shoved under the carpet.

Exactly. This is one of the many reasons why i do think Wikileaks is still genuine. But, i understand the concerns of others.

The way i see it, if they would have shut it down, they'd basically have admitted that the US is not a democracy anymore.

I do. Total misdirection.

How many people, do you think, are really under the control of government propaganda agents? Think about it.

I know some people who study to become a reporter... i think about 4 out of 5 of the people who decide what becomes mainstream news, are not puppets, but everyday people who need to make a living.

Media has indeed quite often been employed for propaganda ('terrorism terrorism terrorism' propaganda for example), but not all of it is a puppet. Many investigative reporters just respond to whatever the general public wants to hear... and the general public wants to hear about Wikileaks.

Lend me your ears on this one!

Here's what I am able to conclude:

The speaker from video is English (I think) and heavy smoker. I think he's around 50-60 years old. The voice has been recorded in professional or semi-professional studio with professional microphone and the recording has been mastered with compressor and level/loudness enhancement.

Try and add more FACTS please... This could be interesting.

Wikileaks chaos: Convenient timing or what?

In light of the timing of all of this international hoopla over Wikileaks and a Pvt that supposedly obtained all of these secret documents all by himself, I have a hard time swallowing the extremely convenient timing and reactions to all of this.

Let me give you some blogworld background leading up to this Wikileaks situation. It had been widely rumored starting several months ago that possibly Wikileaks was actually working in tandem with government agencies to release disinformation or conveniently timed information on purpose. Did anyone have concrete proof? I don't think so but just enough circumstancial reasons to cause widespread rumors still the same.

As the obvious clamping down of freedom of speech and any intelligent, real news that is thankfully available through alternative media over the internet, we seem to finally have our long-predicted "internet 9/11". The timing of all of this is highly suspect in my opinion. It all hit the fan only a few days after Senator Ron Wyden, D-Oregon was the only one with the guts and passion to block the latest dangerous bill before them, COICA, which in essence would unconstitutionally grant far-reaching power and authority to shut down websites on the guise of copyright infringement or whatever other reason the government can come up with. Meanwhile, in the past year especially, there have been thousands of blogs that have been taken down. The Bloglines RSS feed no longer exists. As of October 1, you can no longer upload full-length videos to Google Video which has long been a source of excellent access to documentaries showing the American people the truth of what we are up against as a people in these sadly changing times. By the way, Google also is the parent company of YouTube which has a long history of getting more and more involved in obvious censorship. Alex Jones' websites were notified recently that they would be shut down under outrageous charges similar to what is happening to Wikileaks as he was singled-out for re-publishing a story that thousands of mainstream organizations had also published with no threats of them being shut down. Thankfully, he successfully challenged it and won that battle at least temporarily.

We live in a messed up world, when we see places like Wiki-leaks, AJ, ATS even GLP labeled as extremist groups. If for nothing but exposure of truth and treasonous activities, we may all find ourselves caged for speaking out against it.

Rise up.. or lay down, just make sure you're not standing in the way.

The broad view of Wiki-leaks and its documents, so far, paints a picture of a concerted effort to supplant the alternative, anti-war media with an illusion of truth. As the Western mainstream media continues to reach new heights of mendacity and obfuscation of the truth, an increasing number of ordinary people have been turning to alternative news sites for a more accurate perspective of what is happening on our planet. This has posed a clear threat to those whose positions of influence and power depend on a misinformed population.

One out of seven news outlets have noticed, thus far, that Wikileaks seems to have a “soft heart” when it comes to Israel and India. Zbigniew Brzezinski caught on, finally, declaring that Wikileaks is an “intelligence operation” using “pointed” information carefully “seeded” into a combination of minor scandals and chickenfeed.
There is absolutely no question for the press that Wikileaks is totally phony, we all know it, it is blatantly slanted, clearly not only anti-American but aimed Islam. Don't give in to all these paranoid fears. Wikileaks is doing something unique. If you support these conspiracy junkies with their outrageous conspiracy within a conspiracy within a conspiracy theory, you are in an indirect way helping a good effort for freedom of information and a real democracy, to be completely destroyed.

I am 100% certain Wikileaks is still genuine. I was using it years ago for all kinds of info, and am still using it now.

If you start preaching everywhere that everything is under control of the government and everything is a conspiracy and everything is designed to enslave you, you're also ruling out every possibility for something good.

Good things still exist, and i am absolutely certain Wikileaks is one of them.
