Why do people feel the need to lie when they don't know anything? It's so easy to actually find out for yourselves on the internet. Learn what a CME is, learn what a solar flare is and learn what a filament is.

Filaments and CMEs are plasma, which is matter and CANNOT travel at the speed of light because it has MASS. Only EM radiation can travel at the speed of light because it is ENERGY. This is what happens when people don't know shit and leap to assumptions and use their beliefs to try to understand things we observe. And you can see how well that works out.

You're all watching and fearing the sun, but you zombies neglect to ask why is the sun acting like it is, what is causing this? You're all too afraid that your precious TVs will stop working from some mythical EMP pulse from the sun so you can't watch GLEE or some other drivel. [link to solarimg.org] . the dials at the top will tell you where the sun is currently facing, and this lil guy here, [link to iswa.gsfc.nasa.gov:8080] actually has a nice animation with the date at the top to show you exactly where its projected to hit. (earth is the stationary yellow circle to the right of the sun.

And obviously no one even bothered to check the movies or the animated gif at [link to spaceweather.com]

If they did, they can see that it collapsed and is not a CME, the plasma fell back on the sun and most of it did not get ejected into space. Simply proves how stupid people never check the facts but merely jump to conclusions based upon their beliefs.

If this was a CME all the plasma would be flying off and toward Earth.

Just went to check ARTIS ( [link to solarimg.org] to see if ENLIL did a run (they usually do, post CME and iSWA is completely down...)

You are right, they did not come from the sun. star Fleet injected them, INSIDE the magnetosphere which is why ACE did not pick them up and the geostationary satellites did.

Nothing from the filament is hitting the earth right now, CME's take 1 to 5 days depending on space conditions. There was no x ray flare even. We are having what appears to be a very small CME, seems to be done already, and its not from the filament.
