Frozen Water Pipes Leading to Critical Water Shortages in Ireland

Water supplies are now proving to be a critical problem in some areas, with parts of Cork and all four Dublin local authorities facing shortages.

Councils in the capital are making cuts to overnight supply for at least the next three nights.

Just think, this is just the start of winter. What is it going to be like in Feb or March.

I sure hope the weather will get warmer.

The problem is the incoming water feeds are frozen. They are claming to shut the water off at night here to "save water" - I think they are not shutting them off they are just freezing as the frostline in Ireland has gone down a few more inches and our water systems are built for the old frost line of mild Irish winters.

The way I heard it that's exactly what people are doing. They're using so much water doing it that the water board are having to cut it off overnight to stop them.

Well that is certainly part of the cooling effect, much of it man made.

o Since 1996 the chemspray tankers have spread millions of tons of aluminum coated polymer filaments. This has reflected sunlight and resulted in less heat reaching earth.

o We are in a sunspot minimum

o The North Atlantic Current has slowed in no small part due to the deliberate lasering of Macondo and the dumping of millions of gallons of corexit in the GOM

o I am sure other chemspray operations contributed.

This cooling operation is occurring during a warming period and required precision timing to achieve.

It was 18 degrees Fahrenheit in central Florida last night. The equator is moving as some posts have stated.

leaving the water trickle is 90% of the problem.. if 1 million people did that and what seems like a trickling tap could leave out believe it or not 100 litres an hour say for ten hours thats 1000 litres multiplied by 1 million house holds.. think about it !!!
