Bernard Madoff's middle son has been found dead in his home in SoHo in an apparent suicide, WNBC sources said.

Authorities are not confirming the circumstances surrounding the death of Mark Madoff, who was found hanged this morning in his luxury apartment on Mercer Street.

Mark, 45, was the oldest of the two Madoff sons. Although he was not charged in his father's Ponzi scheme, he and his brother Andew were the target of a lawsuit by one of their former employees over bonus money he claims to have lost because of the Ponzi scheme.

He hung himself.
