DELETE your Facebook Day Campaign
DELETE your Facebook Day Campaign

As we are aware, the continuing trend for Facebook's popularity continues to spread althroughout the Internet. However the downfall of this drive has been that Loved Ones, Friends, Homes, even Lives have been lost simply because of a "post" or change in Profile. Do not become a Statistic and fight against this ever continuing divide throughout all social circles.

Facebook has become a place for fear and hate to spread, there is no Unity on this Social Network site anymore, the Sociability factor has been eradicated in favor of Individualism. Which has only spread this Divide not only throughout the Website, but also seperated those outside it. Is it truly humane that a person be murdered simply because of a change on a profile, or that someone loses their job as they post pictures of themselves on holiday.

Lets make January 1st 2011 "DELETE your Facebook day."
Spread the word.

Re: DELETE your Facebook Day Campaign
It's not the website to be blamed. you are simply seeing humanity as it truly is. People have killed each other over casual comments throughout history. People have been fired over office gossip or photographs hung up in the breakroom long before the internet came along. Relationships have crumbled or strengthened without a single keystroke. You can't hold a website to blame. All Facebook does is give humanity yet another outlet for expression. If you got rid of Facebook, you would not have solved anything.
Being right too soon is socially unacceptable.

Re: DELETE your Facebook Day Campaign
I deleted everything from mine a year or so back, I just keep the blank page and use Pidgin for the chat.

At least people can attempt to get hold of me if they want, and I know if anyone tags me in a pic or whatever.

No matter how much you dislike it, you cant escape the fact everyone is there.

Ya, that's what to do, draw attention to yourself by deleting your page... I don't think so.
