Not the best example, but not the worst, either. The science isn't hard, and there are experiments you can do yourself. Or you can -- as it appears YOU have -- trust a professional opinion-maker.

Me, I'd prefer to learn for myself if at all possible. Having your mind made up by someone else is rarely optimal.
