It is probably an artifact in the image, a spot. Unless it shows in two or more frames. The second explanation includes small bodies such as an asteroid, but this needs confirmation with a second frame or a second source.

"Still there.. [link to sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov] That is an artifact indeed. Anything closer to the Sun than Earth should have an apparent motion in 6 hours. Remember that Venus´ transit last year took 7 hours.

well, if it is not mercury or venus it must be a UFO refueling with the Sun´s hydrogen. I think that mercury or venus are possible where the planet has just crossed infront of the Sun. Obviously not right next to it, it isn´t even light up so it must be a long way infront of it, between us and the Sun.

The object in the 3:00 position is not Mercury, Saturn, Venus, etc. I don´t know what it is, but it shows up on the EIT 304 cam as well over several images, and it appears to move a wee bit:
