IMPORTANT SURVEY TO PIN: When will the US collapse, ala Russia?

Factors:

As many as 14 US states are on the verge of financial default. CA & NY are the tip of the iceberg.

The Fed cannot bail them all out. Moody's is about to downgrade their forecast of us if we don't let the Bush tax cuts expire to pay down the deficit. This will lead to us losing our AAA credit rating, which will make the debt grow even faster.

Basically, we will fall because of money. Unless we cut all of the military spending to the bone, and trim down a lot of Social Security and Medicare--the trifecta that if we cut will hurt the most.

No nation is meant to last forever. We had a good run.

What is your likely timeline? Be realistic. I say: by 2020 at the latest one state will initiate some form of legal process to secede or do so outright.
