my dog died recently and i miss him

i stay home most of the day except for going to work in the morning otherwise he was with me all the time even when i drove my car somewhere i'd bring him

he would dream in his sleep, i could tell because sometimes he would yelp while sleeping nightmare and i could see it in his eyes he wasn't just a pet he was living soul like me with feelings...probably the strongest attachement i've had with another living thing because i dont hang around people much...i'm ugly and fat

anyway some dont think ghosts exist and maybe they dont but if they do how would you get a pet to move on...we usually get humans to move on from unfinished business how would we tell a ghost pet to move on...all i wish is for my dogs safety in this life and afterlife (if there is one)

dogs are great. sucks when they die, though. don't worry about it, he's probably not a ghost. *cough*

calling yourself ugly and fat isn't going to help anything.

My dog Beouwulf showed up several times in his usual sleeping spots and would then dissapear. He appeared to be "sleeping" comfortably as a ghost. It was hard to ignore him because I loved him, but that is what I did and he eventually quit appearing to me.

hi thanks for replying

i am however unattractive and overweight, nicer way of saying it...feel like i'm being judged around people so i usually am on my own and my job is also alone which i like

so you dont think ghosts exist? maybe it was my upbringing so i cant shake it but i just hope he's safe wherever he is

All dogs go to Heaven. People with NDE report it ALL THE TIME.

Dog spelled backwards is God.

So be good in this life and you have a chance of joining your dog. If you are bad, it may not go so well for you.

Right now, God is petting your dog.

(and I don't even like like dogs, but it's true)

i wonder where he moved onto

humans have a capacity to be aware, at least some of us so we can tell our surroundings are unusual but a dog i'm uncertain...how would they know they might just keep repeating the same daily thing like when they were alive unaware :(

i think ghosts exist because of this clip, its not about a dog but a young girl who her parents might have killed her...children i'm afraid seem similar to me like a dog dieing because they dont know what happened

My german shepard was 14 when she passed away here at the house (in her sleeep), she was a great dog and much loved.
For a while after she passed away I occationaly would hear doggie toenails on the tile kitchen floor like she would make. I would talk to her and tell her I was doing ok and she could move on - eventually the sounds ceased.
I think she just came back to check on me, to see if I was ok hf

I've seen ghost dogs. Maybe he's just waiting for you? Maybe time is very different for him so it's no big deal if that takes awhile? I wouldn't stress over it. How awesome would it be to see your beloved dog, first thing, when you pass away?

When my beloved white cocker spaniel died when I was 16 I always said I want him greating me first when I get to heaven with his sweet puppy kisses on my face. He used to sleep with me in the bed and when the alarm clock went off he would start licking my face to wake me up just eager and happy to be with me.

He's not happy to be away from you! It sounds like you loved him very much and he had to have known that. I'm sure he loves you as much as you did him.

Mine passed away a year ago last August. We were the same as you and your dog in that he was always with me since I worked from home.

I know he visits. When he was alive he would come in and sniff me when I went to bed as soon as I laid down. It was almost as if he were just checking to make sure I was o.k. I'd pet him for a minute and then he'd lay down next to the bed.

I still feel him do that sometimes. And when I reach out to pet him I can feel the energy go through my hand. It doesn't happen as often now so I figure he did go on but comes to visit now and then.

I didn't do anything to make him "go on". I think they just do at a certain point.
