"TWIC" anyone?

ANYONE working in or having access to a port for work purposes (you charter a fishing trip... the boat Capt has had to have this for the past few years). It is not a Security Guard License... it is nothing more than documenting AMERICANS while the illegals continue to go undocumented and get educated off your tax dollars and enroll in college and take space that the AMERICAN kid got screwed out of.

The TWIC card has a BIG micro chip in it.They can see who and where you are when you are carrying it.There are also posts all over the highways that read the chip as you go past.Had one for years it serves absolutely no purpose but to track who and where you are.Got nothing to do with national security,what a joke.Track law abiding citizens while the real criminals and terrorist or any other bad guy walks around free.Your gonna say it keeps the bad guys out,BULLSHIT.You will be saying the same thing after you had one and worked where they say it matters.They just got you to pay for you to be monitored.ALL THE TIME. On the piss test:

In 1987 I took a contract to install some machinery at a lumber mill in Oregon. I wasn't an employee, just taking a check from them. I found out from the workers there that they were under constant threat of losing their jobs if they failed a piss test for drugs. Meanwhile, every Friday afternoon everyone who worked in the office got drunk as a skunk with the owner and top managers.

One of the workers at the mill was someone I knew from a different mill I had worked at years before. He told me that since starting working at this place he had gotten into a pretty serious alcohol problem. Told me he hadn't done anything but smoke pot for the previous ten years, but since that was now forbidden to him, he came in most days with a hangover, not to mention the money he pissed away in the bars.

I finished that contract and made a vow that I would never take a piss test just for a paycheck, and I never did. Or work for anyone who asked their people to.

A couple of years later I was in a Burger King and saw a sign that said "All Employees Must Pass A Drug Test As A Condition Of Employment". Like they were bragging to the public how clean their employees were. My reaction was to take my business elsewhere.

If it was about safety, then people would be tested for alcohol or pharmaceutical drugs too. It's not about safety, it's about conditioning and degrading the slaves.

I've been getting desperate for some gainful employment and went to apply for a part time position at a small (very small) smoothies stand. Before giving me the application, I was informed that before hiring, I'd need to pass a full backround check. I looked at them and said, "You CAN'T be serious! A backround check to make smoothies?!"

I have no criminal record but I'll damned if I'm going to work for assholes like that for minimum wage!

I was desperate a few months ago (mind you, very desperate), and tried to get on at Chinamart I mean Walmart. I did the background check and failed, because 15 years ago I went to court for citation of running a cable (tv) from my house to my neighbors house ..... FIFTEEN FUCKING YEARS AGO !!!, not one indecent since.

My application was denied.

I wholly agree that this is about conditioning.

TWIC is a common identification credential for all personnel requiring unescorted access to secure areas of MTSA -regulated facilities and vessels, and all mariners holding Coast Guard-issued credentials. Individuals who meet TWIC eligibility requirements will be issued a tamper-resistant credential containing the worker's biometric (fingerprint template) to allow for a positive link between the card and the individual. How was TWIC created?
Congress directed the federal government, through the Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA), to issue a biometric security credential to individuals who require unescorted access to secure areas of facilities and vessels and all mariners holding Coast Guard- issued credentials or qualification documents. This TWIC isn't for every single construction site or for every single employer across the nation. It's only for a small portion of employees who work at our ports.
