maybe she is really not cut out for motherhood. some women aren't and get very depressed.

she might want to get a job and put the kids in a good day care. you need to figure this out before the kids are harmed from her lack of attention.

could you guys go for counseling?

I survived all those years of raising kids and people having fun in bed don't know what they are getting themselves in for and I'm a guy. If I thought I would have to endure all that crap again at my age I would slit my wrists.

If u have done telling her all your concern and she still do not buck up in anyway then its time to find your own life. This type of women are brought up this way, irresponsible and childish. There's no way to motivate them to do any choirs that is not solely for their benefit. Let them pickup their own mess is the only way they will learn but in the mean time you will have to move out of this relationship if possible. Let them lead their own irresponsible life.

I'm going through the same thing. My wife refuses to cook anything and cleaning is out of the question. We have a 4 and 5 year old but I got sick of it and kicked her out. I'm going to get a divorce. I've tried to talk to her but she just says it's not her thing. NO hobbies, goals....it sucks.

Just suck it up for now, OP, and be the hero for your kids while they're small and need their Mother at home with them. Your wife can go back to work once the kids are in school.

Also, bear in mind that while you're at work, your "little angels" are putting play-doh in the dog's fur, writing on the fridge in crayon, and pulling out every toy your wife has already put away ten times. She can't go to the bathroom because they follow her. If they don't follow her, they're up to something else and she has to hurry out there to check them. They don't do this to Dad because kids naturally have a different respect for Dad.

Also, when you tear your wife down, you're doing permanent damage to a marriage over temporary problems like trying to keep house with pre-schoolers around. FYI.

My sister is a "stay-at-home" mom of 4, one teenager, the rest under 12.

She tells me all the time how tired she is of other "stay-at-home" mom's, with less kids, smaller house and nannies bitching about hard life is.

She claims the years of this stuff about being a "stay-at-home" mom is harding than work is TOTAL BULLSHIT!

She is a pharmacist that gave it up for a life with her kids. She worked in retail pharmacy a few years befor throwing in the smock. She said it was brutal next to being a "stay-at-home" especially once they are all in school past kindergarten.

Just sayin.

Too bad you have kids with her, I had that problem and I left her ass, no kids though. Just dont buy her anything, say your always broke, maybe she will get a job then. gl

i have dealt with this shti before. my lazy ex would sit around watching the same movie over and over again. and then she would deny her laziness. when i finally got fed up with it. I took her shit and through it out the front door. with anger she left and was sleeping in her car for a couple days. she came back. i refused to accept her into the house.
She was crying and yelling "I wont be lazy anymore" please dont leave me " (blah blah blah).

so i let her back in and she started cleaning and workin out. but then she lost it again and started bein lazy after a week.

So finally i had her evicted. and later secretly sold the house. now she doesnt know where i am. Im loving it because she was a fucking stalker.

Take a look at her childhood home and specifically, her own bedroom, and see if her mother's house cleaning was similar - If so, then it's ingrained in her to live in a mess and not mind. Hire someone to help out.

If she had a clean bedroom, she may simply be tired. Hire someone. If you are working, you need rest time. If she cannot manage to keep the house tidy, she needs to consider that she needs help with keeping up the household duties (daily cleaning, i.e., dishes, clothes, bedding, toilet bowls, floors).

Tell her it is driving you crazy and that something needs to change and change FAST because it has had an impact on your ability to relax during your time off.

Point blank, but I know it's hard, but STOP doing any of the housework. Does your wife work? if not, do nothing but mention that because of stress at work etc. you can't keep focusing at work b/c of housework. the additional duties of housework you're doing is decreasing your productivity at work (e.g. will result in less promotion potential, etc.) Maybe this will turn on a light bulb to let her know that due to additional duties in the house that she should do MORE to help you focus on what's just as important - PROVIDING FOR YOUR FAMILY!

Maybe she's depressed. Some people can't handle the lack of adult interaction. Encourage to join a mother's group or something else she might enjoy.

The most important thing is that she takes care of the kids. I would raise some hell if she is neglecting them. I would threaten divorce and to take them if she doesn't get her act together if it is just laziness and not depression.

This, and just TALK to her..

She might be seriously depressed. You need to talk to her regardless as your resentment of her will only spell trouble for your marriage.
