Those that are criticizing this woman probably have no idea what it's like to be in a life or death situation like that. Even the most cool-headed person in a normal situation can completely freak out and lose it in a life or death situation.

Whether she made a wise decision in using her purse to attack the assailant is not the question. The fact that her instincts were to risk her OWN life in order to save others speaks volumes as to her true character. And that character is made of pure gold. This is a woman who will put others before herself, which is a RARE FUCKING COMMODITY TO FIND IN TODAY'S WORLD.

The sad things is that AC 1183552 wasn't the only one who didn't bother to check the facts before sounding off. None of these people bothered to click on the link in the original post.

For the record, the bidding on her purse was up to $1,000, and it is almost certain that the offers will increase when bidding resumes. Whatever the purse sells for, that is how much money the "SICK BITCH" will have donated to charity. If she were concerned for herself she could sell it and kept the money but she elects to give it away instead.

Now, can we all agree that the lady has made no attempt whatsoever to profit from the sale of her purse. The link provided by OP clearly shows:

I posted early on this thread to read the link and was dumbfounded as the reply's continued to act like this woman was being greedy without reading she was donating the money to charity.

Most of the posters on this thread never read the link or the reply's from those that did regarding giving the money to charity.

I can't believe this thread is still going on, with so much hatred toward a woman who only wanted to help. Yes it was poor judgment, and she was lucky to not get hurt.

About the purse, I still think it is tacky even if the money goes for a good cause.

I don't know why exactly but maybe because a human lost his life and the purse is a part of that memory. I don't condone the man's actions, I think he was obviously mentally ill~

She had moxie no doubt, just not much experience the perpetrator was a big guy and if the situation presented itself to me then I would have swung a chair at his head instead of a purse and I would not stop.

It appeared that he either was shooting blanks or deliberately misaimed as he could easily taken them all out if he wanted to it was close range. However the guard would not be at fault as he had no way of knowing what was on the gunman’s mind and he did towards the guard with was justification to keep shooting back.


You may really want to check your local laws; most states will charge you if you shoot an intruder in the back as they are leaving; the intruder would be deemed as no longer a threat to you.

Not saying it's right nor fair, just the way our lovely justice system now makes the victims the criminals and the criminals the victims.
