It is about lines drawn in the sea. The line drawn over land(The DMC) was described in the Korean Armistice Agreement. The line drawn in the sea was not described by the Korean Armistice Agreement. In 1991, the North Koreans drew a new line. It does not include the islands in dispute, but does include the waters around the islands. And other parts of the line are much further South in the Yellow sea.
