Where does the "soul" go when we are fully unconscious ?

I watched a University of Toronto lecture on television once.

It was a neurology professor describing the quest for consciousness in the brain and they'd pretty much concluded it was impossible - like opening up a radio and asking 'where is the music'?

The brain is the receiver. The 'soul' or consciousness or whatever is the music. When the brain - the receiver - is faulty, you get static, or you don't tune in 'the music' properly but that doesn't mean it isn't there somewhere.

I'll look for one.

Wasn't there a recent experiment in a US ER room about out of body experiences.
