BRIEF AND TO THE POINT User ID: 1196717 United States 12/18/2010 11:42 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Poor people do poor people things, and rich people do rich people things. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it! when you rob Paul to give to Peter ... ... ... you will always get Peters support! :Brieffromnativea: |

Still, most of the christians like those parts better anyway. Much easier for them to relate to and practice. |

The destruction of Babylon being foreseen as a sure destruction (thou art to be destroyed), it is spoken of, 1. As a just destruction. She shall be paid in her own coin: Thou shalt be served as thou hast served us, as barbarously used by the destroyers as we have been by thee, See Rev_18:6. Let not those expect to find mercy who, when they had power, did not show mercy. 2. As an utter destruction. This is taken out of context. Big surprise there, but here are the last 3 verses of Psalm 137: 7Remember, O LORD, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said, Rase it, rase it, even to the foundation thereof. 8O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us. 9Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones. The chapter is talking about the enemies of God's people sacking Jerusalem and killing their people. Last Edited by Doc Holliday on 12/18/2010 12:00 PM I got two guns, one for each of ya. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 833846 United States 12/18/2010 12:08 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Let's look at this in context. It's actually has layered meanings. 8 Daughter Babylon, doomed to destruction, happy is the one who repays you according to what you have done to us. 9 Happy is the one who seizes your infants and dashes them against the rocks. Daughter Babylon is Mystery Babylon, which are the occult rulers of this world, but, in context to this verse, the whole system under which we live. Their infants, to whom this verse is referring, are their Satanic generational occultic bloodline, a/k/a, the Nephilim bloodline, but it's more so a generic reference to the evil and corrupt system as a whole when it says to seize the infants and "dash them against the rocks." Which, by the way, "rocks" is another veiled reference. Though we, as Christians, are not called to go out and commit murder on a people, since that would go against one of the commandments, we are, however, called to pray for the Kingdom of God to come on Earth as it is in Heaven and to pray for the destruction of Mystery Babylon. But we know that all creation groans for the revealing of the Sons of God. Even the Earth's creatures can't wait until the Mystery Babylon is destroyed! |
