Tuesdays Lunar Eclipse Times for the USA
Eclipses of either the Sun or Moon are one of nature's enjoyable spectacles. This year nature will treat North American stargazers to a total lunar eclipse on the winter solstice during the predawn hours of Tuesday December 21, 2010. This lunar eclipse will be visible in all of North America and the Pacific Ocean as well as eastern Asia. Most of the eclipse will be visible in South America. During the middle of the eclipse, the Moon will be nearly overhead for stargazers in the southwestern USA and northwestern Mexico.

Stargazers in North America can watch the eclipse at the following times in the eastern standard time zone:

•Penumbral eclipse begins 12:29 EST
•Partial eclipse begins 1:33 EST
•Total eclipse begins 2:41 EST
•Greatest eclipse 3:17 EST
•Total eclipse ends 3:53 EST
•Partial eclipse ends 5:01 EST
•Penumbral eclipse ends 6:05 EST

Our group as well. I did an animation of the last one, shooting one image every 2 minues for the duration and then combining them. You can see it here...
