Hey OP this sounds like where my cousin is headed. She's hitting 30 and still lives at home with her parents, never went to college, never held a job or found a man and only has one friend (older woman in her 90's) who goes to church with her. I think the only thing she's waiting for in this life of hers is for jesus to come back and save her. She's selfish and always thinks about herself and shuts herself out from reality and her own family.

I'm afraid she is a lost cause by now and it's christianity's fault.

I think leaving home would be a great idea. It might show you that people are hypocrites and assholes regardless of whether they are religious or not. Its a people thing, not a religion thing.

I think by far the best use of wasted time is reading classical literature. Jane Austen is awesome. Also getting into some kind of body training, stretching or yoga type stuff.
