No sane person would do that.

I buried my 20 year old cat in a paper shoe box so it would return to nature as quickly as possible.

No, I have plenty of pictures to remember my doggie friends.
Fishing and skiing keeps me a little sane.

That's sorta my point...sanity vs emotion for a pet...I promised I wouldn't get into the morality of it all...so for the person that would stuff a pet, why would you draw the line at stuffing a human?

Pets are family members for a shocking large percentage of people I have learned...I'm hoping to find that one person that would approve of this...

Eww, never! That's just creepy!

I was wondering, given all the pet lovers here, if they would stuff their pets, would they also consider stuffing their human loved ones?

Re: Pet owners, would you do this for your pet?
no

but my husband a few years back when we got our rescue akita ordered a very nice big stuffed akita that looks like my boy.

when he dies i will have him cremated or let the vet take care of his body--he is too big to dig a hole for.

like people once you die the soul leaves the vessel.

i want to be cremated as well. the funeral racket is just that .
imho.

no need for a big tadoo-if you weren't respected or whatever when you're alive what good is it for a bunch of relatives crying crocodile tears to make themselves feel better?

Creepy.

Also, how are you supposed to move on when you have Fido curled up and sleeping, ass crammed full of sawdust, never to wag his tail at you...

Now, stuffing granddad is a whole other story.
Well it seems so real I can see it
And it seems so real I can feel it
And it seems so real I can taste it
And it seems so real I can hear it
So why can't I touch it?
So why can't I touch it?

If you really loved your pet, you wouldn't stuff it.

This just shows they think of pets as cute objects decorations. They are living beings with souls and some comprehension. They deserve our respect as any living, souled entity.\

Um no.

We used to just bury our pets when they passed on in the 'Cemetery' I have here on the property. However new laws require cremation of family pets.

Our last two pets that have passed on are thus sitting on the shelf, however lots of animals that haven't survived being dumped out here have ended up in my animal cemetery.

Cool vid on taxidermy. I bury my pets, with mothballs, to keep coyot's from digging them up. I eat the animals that I kill. I guess, if I ever get the "Monster...Goliath...bigger than anybody else's..record"..I will fork out the money to have it "fixed". Sheeott, if I was that weird I would have had my wife stuffed. Weirdo's! chuckle
