Who else is having DISH network volume problems?
The volume went off about an hour ago, and I´ve run diagnostics and could not get a techie on the line. It looks like the problem is at their end.

I decided to switch channels a moment ago, and got the comedy channel, and some sound, but it was in extremely slow-mo. That was the creepiest thing I´ve ever seen.

It was too weird. Then, the sound went off again. WTF?

Funny I lost channel 4-6-7-9 and it is a problem from them...all other channels working fine and sound is fine

maybe something in space doing this?

I just turned TV back on and all channels are back working fine weird.

The past few days I have had sound changes also. It goes real low and back to loud.

Also some strange pixel stuff just dots in the middle of picture. weird stuff

I have had dish for like 7 years and have seen regular problems but weird the past week

I have DirecTV. Tonight for the first time after 8 years use, the volume dropped off. The drop lasted for about 10 minutes.

No slo-mo, though.

Re: Who else is having DISH network volume problems?
Thanks, Colorado and 9214. It helps to get some feedback.

I was checking on GLP, because it looks like a problem from their end, and I was curious as to how far-reaching it might be.

At first, I lost some of my channels, too, and then did a diagnostic, and locked in the second transponder or whatever it was, and got all the channels back. Still no sound, except for that real slow mo, sounding like a monster talking at at high volume. Then, it stopped.

I was wondering if it wasn´t something up in space causing it. I live in Austin, and thought about that hurricane, but that´s still way south of me, so I don´t know how that would affect things, since I still get the picture fine.

I had DVR´d The Manchurian Candidate, and had been watching it, and tried to run the DVR to see if I could get sound, but got no sound, but it was all pixelated and didn´t come in well. It was fine before.

This is very strange. Thanks for giving me your feedback. This is the first time I´ve experienced something like this, and it was good to compare notes.

BTW, I was on hold for a long time and never got a techie. They said it would be a 15 minute wait. I haven´t had to call DISH network for a long time regarding any problems, and before whenever I called tech support, I got someone on the line right away. Must be a big problem.

Oh, yeah, I forgot to add: The picture will freeze momentarily from time to time, and I will get a staticky sound, and then the picture will return to normal and the static will disappear.

It´s late where I am, so I´m off to sleep. Hopefully, it will be rectified in the morning.
