OP is referring to the DNA data from King Tutankhamun which revealed he had the Haplogroup R1b, associated with the male Y chromosome which is common in western Europe.

Although Dr. Zahi won't release the mtDNA results so it's hard to say whether this is an absolute fact. The maternal line would be the conclusive evidence needed to say for sure.

It is rather suspicious why they are trying to withhold that info as long as possible. What do they have to hide anyways?

I don't think the motivation behind hiding east to west migrations has that much to do with race per se, but rather covering up an entire alternative history in order to keep the masses in the dark about their true origins.
