The US Statue of Liberty is a goddess. What religion?
In Japanese what you call the "Statue of Liberty" is called "juyu no megami" which means "Goddess of Freedom." Same in Chinese. These are old translations, from when the statue was fist put it up in the New York (1800s?).

But in Christianity there is no goddess. US is (was?) primary Christian country.

So, please explain what this is about. Thanks.

She's the Goddess of Freeloading Leeches that Used to Appreciate Living here and making Something of Themselves, But Now Just Have A Bunch of Defective Welfare Leeches.

I think Pathos would be a good name for her.

The US Statue of Semiramis in NY harbour is based on an ancient Babylonian astrological religion based upon the worship of Taurus, or bull. However, there is some evidence the statue's face was modelled after Cleo.

The statue of liberty [libertine]
is a symbol that America is Babylon,
the mother of harlots and abominations
of the earth.

In Bible prophecy Mystery, Babylon
symbolically sat upon seven mountains
and many waters. The statue of libertine
has a crown with seven spikes which officially
represent the seven seas [waters] and seven
continents [mountains] of the earth.

The immigrant poem associated with the
statue of libertine was written by a
bolshevik. Ancient Babylon too was an
empire of immigrants. Ancient Babylon
moved conquered peoples around its empire,
even into the city of Babylon itself
[much to the chagrin of the Babylonian
people themselves.]

In the Bible...

The King of ancient Babylon built
an image, a giant statue with a
head of gold, arms of silver, etc.
That statue represented Babylon,
but also represented the flow of
empires to the end of the age.
The last empire [represented by
the statue's ten toes] was mixed
iron [strength] and clay [weakness.]

The Kingdom of God on earth is symbolized
by a stone that breaks the weaken clay feet.
The statue is destroyed and Babylon falls forever,
replaced by the Kingdom of God on earth.

Libertas (Latin for Liberty) was the Roman goddess and embodiment of liberty.

Actually Lady Liberty is some french guy's mother, however he was inspired by the Colossus of Rhodes ( [link to www.ask.com] who was the God Helios (Sun God) of Ancient Greece.

The Colossus is often depicted straddling an entry into a bay, however newer data suggests he stood more inland and was on a pedestal. He held a torch (which made the statue into a lighthouse) and wore a 'crown of rays' signifying the Sun.

Colossus was made of bronze, filled with gravel and soils to hold him up in strong winds. Lady Liberty is copper held up on a frame of iron. Like Liberty, the colossus was also built as a symbol of liberty.

The Artist who conceived of the Statue of Liberty, Frederic Auguste Bartholdi entitled the statue "Liberty Enlightening the World".

Mind the French were inspired to revolt after the Declaration of Independence of the North American Colonies.

The US declared its independence July 4 1776
France declared its by storming the Bastille on July 14, 1789

Thus the artist felt it was necessary to show that the French and the US were actually brothers pursing the same dream of independence and liberty.

If you look at images of the US Washington DC most of the structures are Grecian/Roman. This is to say a mix of both Ancient Greek and Roman Empire structures.

The USA pays homage to the institute of Democracy, which was first 'invented' by the Ancient Greeks and was somewhat followed in the Roman Empire which was an Imperial Republic, a 'free' society based on a representative (the Senate) government that (in theory) represented the people.

Due to the political inspiration for the USA, much of the architect and symbols and 'national treasures' connect with these ancient cultures.

Thus the Artist pulled from history (Colossus of Rhodes) and other elements to come up with a similar 'Wonder of the World' the Statue of liberty.

Very good. The statue is a pagan goddess END OF STORY and is worshipped by US and Fench freemasons. Any christian American who "loves" that statue and all it represents may as well put on a goat head mask and dance naked around a fire.

Sory but that's just the fact of the matter.
