Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21977Back when NKorea attacked the island on November 23, it was only SKorean troops. The drill monday on the island, there were US troops and UN observers. Tomorrow there will be only SKorean troops. NKorea could strike tomorrow since they would only kill SKorean troops. |

They only aimed at the military base... but since their artillery is old and not precise, they hit the houses around. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1013266Monday there were US troops and UN observers on the island... NKorea didn't take the chance of killing US troops... But this time, NO US TROOPS NOR UN OBSERVERS. The US have a ``training holiday``... which is suspicious. Me thinks shit could hit the fan... Wow...nice catch. Maybe it is some kind of bait to lure them in. Training holiday at this time? |

It was felt that US involvement would raise tensions so they are trying not to provoke The US factor would have to be considered on whatever action North Korea decides to take. US deaths would be a game changer. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1203396 Germany 12/22/2010 06:32 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You guys still don't get it... do you? The north will not attack. It's the US and the south who are going to do a preemtive strike on the north. Why? Follow the money! Do you know what the "Republic of Korea-United States Free Trade Agreement" is? If you do, you should also know what this means: "On June 26, 2010, President Barack Obama and President Lee Myung-bak stated that they would direct their governments to resolve remaining obstacles to the agreement by November 2010." Did you know that 50% of all investments in SK are done by the US? Did you know that income increased from 100$ in the 60s to 18000$ today. What do you think about this: "South Korea has a market economy which ranks 15th in the world by nominal GDP and 12th by purchasing power parity (PPP), identifying it as one of the G-20 major economies." Ever heard about the "Next Eleven"? Why is the US investing so much money there since the 60s? And what are the ramaining obstacles Mr Obama and Lee Myung-bak are talking about? What is it? What is holding potential investors away from investing hughe money into SK? Hmmm.... |
