Actually I think the OP is parroting what he/she is hearing in the stores & all around him/her. Happened last year too, I noticed the store staff saying happy holidays to which I replied, Happy Xmas. I will not let them steal that last piece of free speech from me.

Only thing I like about "christmas" is time off from work and time to spend with my folks.

However, that nimwit who came up with christmas should have been shot.

I mean really......parents tell their kids in a mythical santa-clause only for them to find out later it was just a joke......oh but we celebrate Christmas for Jesus.....but Jesus wasn't born in December and people brought Jesus presesnts and not the other way around (till Easter of course but that's another RANT)

So the Kid is mixed up......thinks lies are OK so long as you give them enough presents........

Oh and when you are older......it's your turn to do it to your kids

Or if you are unemployed and living back with your parents they can MAKE IT ALL BETTER by buying 50 gifts which you couldn't possibly have the time or money to reciprocate for.

Why don't people just take a week off in September and spend time with families.......to pray and to relax and NOT TO FUCKING SHOP
