Had a strange unexplainable light in my room | |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 812359 12/26/2010 10:43 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Several times in the past when laying in bed, I suddenly hear a "tik" and the brightest white burst into my eyes as if the light filled the room. It was a pure, absolute white - even a camera flash in front of you going off is not that white. Sometimes I think it's just my imagination, but the weird thing is that my GF has experienced them simultaneously. Needless to say those experiences freaked me. |

Also lots of times when vibrations came on strong when sleeping and I would astral travel (glide) around throughout the house and up/down stairways. One way to tell if you felt a strong sense of someone else suddenly in the room when you're all alone. |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 1289541 03/09/2011 04:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Several weeks ago I started seeing this little green dot of light on my wall. I did everything I could think of to find out where it was coming from: made sure it wasn't somehow getting through my black-out curtains, made sure it wasn't coming from any device, and made sure it wasn't something in my eye. It would only be visible when there was absolutely no other light in the room and it would be clearer when I looked at it with my peripheral vision. At the same time that was happening I started having dreams of being in my room and being haunted by something. Since the unexplainable light freaked me out so much I figured they were of no consequence even though in my entire life I rarely have nightmares like those. I avoided sleeping in my room for a while because I would continue to see the light. When my boyfriend came over once to see it, it wasn't there. Weeks passed and it was gone. Then two nights ago I had a dream of being in my room and being haunted. Last night I turned off all the lights and the green dot was there brighter than ever. Tonight my boyfriend is going to come over and help me find where its coming from. I haven't moved anything in my room. If its not there tonight and it is there tomorrow I don't know what I'll do. Hopefully, we'll find its something silly making all this fuss. |

Was about to close my eyes when on the wall a white light suddenly appeared, square in dimention about a foot by a foot. I blinked, movee my eyes around to be sure it was not me seeing things and the light was still planted in the same spot. Then as fast as it came, it disappeared. Quoting: Free StoreThere is no way light can filter into my room from the outside if that be the case. I thought I would mention this if anyone else has had that happen to them. Things are happening... Glitch in the matrix! Seriously, I have seen weird lights in my room too... Its like you can see them from your peripheral vision, like light coming in from an unknown source... The veil is definantly thinning. |

Strange things happen in ones mind during that time. In fact, I have had sleep paralysis on frequent occasions where I was conscious and completely aware of my surroundings yet my body would seem frozen until I would literally have to put every ounce of my concentration to just shaking my body until it woke up. That shit was so scary the first time. Quoting: TheJuiceisLoosehypnogogic hallucination is a term the shrinks use to make you think you are just seeing things because they don't want at all to admit that the things you might be seeing are real and just don't fit into their pardigm, so to protect their own weak egos, the shrinks will use the term "hypnogogic hallucination ". The air in my bedroom at one rural location in the Sand Hills, used to sometimes jsut start glowing blue.. no source of light, it was like the air molecules themselves were the source of the light. The color was similar to that color of glow that polonium glows with but not as 'bright' nor 'intense'. This in an otherwise almost pitch black room.. it would light up everything in the room. Who knows what stuff like that is... shrinks just like to protect their own weak egos with shit like, it was a "hypnogogic hallucination". |

I didn't know he had seen it too until he jumped up. For some reason we had both already been looking at that same spot in the dark. There are no lights or electric sockets or anything in that spot in the hallway. It did not move, it was up high, and it was bright like someone shining a spotlight on us. But I did not get an after image in my eyes nor did the light seem to light up any where else. I've never experienced something like this with someone else, so it was really odd. I was so shaken by it that I made my boyfriend drive around at 4AM with me until I stopped shaking. It makes me feel better reading that other people have had similar things happen in their houses. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1087161 I woke up at night and there was this small sphere of bright white light, that hovered just above the end of my bed for about 10 seconds then disappeared. The strange thing was that even though it was so bright, it didn't cast a glow or light up anything else in the room. While reading the first post of this thread i felt so strange my whole body tingled and From this thread this is the post i can relate to the most it happened about 8 yrs ago i still lived at home (25 now) i smoked marijuana also and may of been smoking at the time can't remember but i do remember sitting on my bed around 11-12pm with a Lamp and TV on and suddenly and strangely a small circle of light about the size of a softball or mini basketball/football appeared out of nowhere to the left of me on my bedroom wall it was like a swirling vortex/portal that was there for i think only a few seconds its hard to explain. there was already light from the lamp and tv in my room but this was really bright but didn't emit any light around it and i thought maybe mind was playing tricks on me as it seemed surreal when i thought about it afterwards. even then i couldn't make out what i saw but what iv explained is what i think i did. |
| Scared_girl User ID: 28382658 11/24/2012 09:25 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I too experience something somewhat similar. It was within the first month or so when I moved into my big brother's room (He had left for college). I am scared of the dark so my mommy put up Christmas lights around the ceiling of the room, and I slept with them on every night. This particular night was a stormy one and the lights went out. I woke up afraid and too scared to move. I wanted to call out to my parents, but I was paranoid that the spirits/demons of the night would hear me first. :( Anyway, I slowly summed up the courage to inch my way to the outlet on the wall, near the bed, and unplug/re-plug in the lights. -nothing- All the lights were out! My heart sunk to into my stomach as my imagination ran wild, assuming all the phantoms and ghouls caught sight of my motion in the dark. Out of nowhere, however, a small yellowish-green light crawled up the wall. It was the same color as the glow-in-the-dark items one can find in a store, but no bigger than my thumb. It seemed to have come from the outlet, but I didn't see. It seemed to stare me in the eyes, next to me on the wall. I quickly turned to the window, hoping it was a light from outside: a car light, a lamppost, or something coming in. -again nothing- My windows had foil on them. The lamppost was orange in color. I didn't hear a single car. As I turned back to the light, it started to slowly crawl around the room. It was at my left, then it made it's way to the front of the room. Almost as if it remembered its destination, it dashed into the little glow-in-the-dark cross atop of my door frame then disappeared. A few minutes later I heard my mom wake up as she did her nightly check ups on the house. I told her what had just happened to me and she told me all the stories of that room being haunted. Till this day, I hate being in that room :/ I wish I knew what/who that little light was. P.S. my cross on the door wasn't glowing that night. |

Maybe, just maybe, you're more vulnerable/open to the spirit world when you're in that liminal state. I believe in the spirit world. When two sober people hear and see the same supernatural phenomenon, which has happen to me and my wife, spiritual explanations become plausible. |

There are several of these squares/weird cubes that appear on my walls and ceiling, but almost always in the same spots. They usually appear at random. They're not exactly "visible" in a concrete way, but more like translucent I guess? I don't get any super-weird vibes or anything, but they do intrigue me in such a way that I stay silent about them. Does any of this ring a bell? |

Such a quick flash. On the north side is where most the flash seems to be directed, which means the thing was appearing from the south. It has happened a few times and I am still very confused about it all. Your post is the first similar thing that I have seen. There was also a big black cloud of energy that "ducked its "head"" into my room one day when another higher energy person was over. He said it looked like a woman, but i don't know. All i know is that I saw something & that i was not on any mind altering drugs. This was both of our first times seeing such a thing. The white light & black cloud did not occur any related points in time, but they did occur in the same location. Any more info would be nice. Thanks! |
