I don't think that God thinks that's a bad thing at all.

In the OP, I merely say that "knowledge has increased."

In the Genesis cites, the Tree is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. That is, people defining "good" and "evil" themselves instead of taking God's word for it.

See...that's the problem. You're blinded by your hate for religion. Any sensible person would know...knowledge has increased AND decreased throughout history. Civilizations get wiped out...their inteligence and knowledge went with them. Great thinkers die without being able to publish their knowledge, there goes their findings. The internet changed all that. Log it on to the web...and suddenly, you've got a great source of information and a great source of record keeping. Spread this information to others and they can stand on the shoulders of this knowledge...unlike history where only those who could read or had access to the books of knowledge could find inspiration and further the study. Very simple...I don't suppose you thought of that, because your hate clouded your judgement.

Knowledge is certainly not a bad thing much GOOD information can be gained from a few minutes of research on the internet. But think about it this way, when the "Tower of Babel" was being constructed, the Bible says God realized that man was capable of much destruction when there were no "knowledge" barriers between them so he confused their languages making them unable to communicate. God intends some things to remain a mystery FOR OUR OWN GOOD!

Jump forward to today. My husband regularly emails a missionary friend in Colombia, S.A. who speaks only Spanish. He types the email in English, hits a translate button and instantly, the email is translated to Spanish. The computer has found a way around God's language barrier. In my husband's case, it is used for God's glory (to fellowship with and encourage another Christian) but think of the millions of other sinister purposes this could serve.

So, knowledge, itself, isn't a bad thing...it just means we have come "full circle" from the Garden of Eden!
