i'll throw my hat in the ring here...


just a quick run-down.... i was an atheist my entire life until i had a profound experience in 1991. The experience persisted for two years and forced a re-think on everything that i believed to be real. i cannot say that i ran to God hoping for his rescue. i ran from God all of my life, and closed my eyes (heart) to any idea, refusing to accept any possibility.

however, after a two year experience with things that i cannot explain, i needed answers and protection. and when i was backed into a corner with no place else to turn, and exhausting every other method for help, there was nothing else to do but to entertain the idea that God was there and that He possibly had some help for me.

After one simple prayer the answer came, and it was a biggie. A really big biggie. A profound experience that to this day I still marvel and cannot completely comprehend. After that, there has been such a strong presence of God that has manifested in 1001 ways that made it so very very clear that He is there and is paying very close attention to my welfare and my well-being. SPECIFICS.... detailed specifics, of so many that it would be hard to even pick one out and describe it for you now. And even if I did take time to draw it out for you, your heart is hard and will not accept it anyway.

From that point on I have been buried in study. What I have learned along the way is astounding and offers me peace that passes understanding. Everything that I thought before has been transformed to a completely new understanding.

And that, WG, Lester, and others is what it's all about: life changing and transformational!

Also, I am very familiar with shifting "reality" channels since space is just a wavelength and mind a program.

Yet when switching reality channels (when in a trance state of mind), one can still describe the experience is some form...and if words are not enough some paint, draw, etc...to try to describe it!!!

Even if you do try to explain your experience most people do not seem to listen! For example....

Things could not have been worse. There I was in the middle of the Pacific Ocean feeling like no one knew me or loved me. In a world of 5 billion people I felt all alone... and I was. I was at the end of my rope. I hadn't the strength to go on. Suicide was not an option. I firmly believed there was a way to be happy but what was it? Loneliness was ruining my days while nightmares were stealing my nights. My heart was sick; my brain fried. The guilt of so many stupid choices was making it difficult for me to hold my head up high. Like a directionless zombie I staggered through my empty days. After twenty-two years of a meaningless existence and agonizing pain I sobbed like a broken child. I wept like never ever before. I had heard of Jesus and believed he exists but did not know how to trust my life to him. I said, “Oh Lord, I promise I’ll be good, please take away this loneliness.” I collapsed onto the floor weeping, my face buried in my arm. My eyes were tightly shut but I could see Light. I saw myself through the eyes of Jesus Christ. He felt an overwhelming compassion for this young man lying helplessly on the floor. He descended to touch me. I struggled to get up, making it only to my knees. He surrounded me. His Holy Spirit began to penetrate my rib cage. I raised my arms and looked from side to side. I could not see anything but felt Jesus. The terrible, debilitating loneliness was washing away. I knew in an instant that Jesus loved me too!, that his power is real, and that heaven is a reality. I understood that this is the "Stuff" that raises people from death. God has forgiven me! Suddenly, my life had meaning! Great sorrow was being replaced by joy. I understood that this Holy Spirit is the One that brings eternal life.

Jesus is a Presence, seperate and apart from anything or anyone I had ever experienced. Like millions of other people I experienced the love of Jesus Christ because I called out to him in truth. My life would never be the same again. This whole revelation was the beginning of a Higher Education for me.

One of the first things I did after this miraculous experience from God was to purchase a Bible. I read about the life of Jesus and how he loved all people. What he did for me - and countless others like me - he also did for people in Palestine two thousand years ago. Jesus walked throughout the land proclaiming the Good News. This good news is the fact that we are all part of God’s creation and that there is a purpose to our lives. God loves us all and sent his son to show us the way to heaven. Like God himself, heaven is a holy place. Those who turn from sin and accept Jesus will receive eternal life. Those who stubbornly choose their own selfish, self centered life style will never know the wonderful things God has prepared for them.

Funny. I was Led to these Scriptures 19.5 some over 20 years after I gave my life in surrender Unto God The Father. The Scripture is not a (eta: Primary) Witness for me. Abiding In and With HIM means I pray With and Receive Directly From The Father.

I was happily in bliss Knowing HIM, Knowing what To Be A Christian meant; then I began to witness what I have Seen and Know, and never have I encountered so many alienated and confused people masquerading as those who would be HIS.

Judgmental? A week or two after I was Born-Again, I got my first Witness from The Holy Spirit. It occurred while driving on a freeway feeder lane and I was Given To Know that a car would run a stop sign and into me if I did not slow up drastically. Did I wait to "prove it in the Word"? No, I simply Trusted God and took action. The car did run the stop at about 50mph and how it made the 90deg turn amazed me...

Have had plenty of ostensibly Born-Again Christians tell me they get Witness from The Holy Spirit, but must "prove it in The Word" before they trust and Know that what they were Given is Of-HIM... One sat in my livingroom over 5 years ago and said just that. The carnal-heart claims HIM but Knows HIM not being iniquitous... Have been told, "God sent lying spirits to Ahab, so we can't trust until we prove what HE Gives us in The Word". It is offensive to hear such false-witness, but these Christians think they are doing right...


I have about 10,000 posts on this board. Mostly Christian witness, in last few years much about survivalism and the economic betrayal of America. My concern though is to witness that anyone who Loves Jesus with a True heart can offer their life to God The Father.

It is presented here, succinctly or you can search the archives. Unfortunately, the board archives before Sep 15, 04 were lost or never restored; then the board sold to Trinity a few months later. A couple thousand posts and several hundred threads of mine were lost; but no big deal. It is the writing and giving the witness that matters; not what the reader does with it.

There is no word for "holy" in chinese. You can say words with similar meanings, but using the word holy is a bit wonky to me. A translation to force a connection and meaning.

You said Buddha spoke in great detail about Jesus' birth, purpose and death.

That's simply not true.

If anything, he might have spoken a few obscure sentences about him, but that takes a leap of faith.

what-ev! the references for those passages are clearly stated, as they are copyrighted material, from original Buddhist books. if you won't see it, then that is on you. your heart is like stone, and your mind is closed. i am not here to change this in you, so please direct any further inquiries away from me.

It's a book written by Christians that you linked to. Get a better link. It's an obscure text with mistranslation. There is nothing extensively discussed like you suggested.

Christ Jesus Was Born and Gave HIS Life for one reason:
That those whom The Father Called could Come Unto HIM (The Father) in surrender and Abide With HIM.


Jesus Asked in the garden of gaethsemane if there could be another way. HE Sweated blood and asked three times if there could be another way before surrendering HIS Will Unto Accord With The Father's.

Pretty damn sad to read the cited quotation attributed that came so close, but could not find surrender. Very sad. Yet, I KNOW God's Will IS Always and In Every Way PERFECT!

Gonna explain it to me and try to influence others, based on what you don't Know and can't witness? Such are the Laodiceans neither hot or cold whom HE Witnesses HE Will spew forth. So many read that in Revelation ch 3 and hope HE will find them "cold". They grasp being spewn forth isn't a good thing, but cannot discern that those who are "cold" will not even merit a glance...

All that matters in your life, IF you Love Christ Jesus, is Trusting God Fully and giving HIM your life...

This is an example of how information get's mixed up. Most people would be too lazy to look up actual info and would just accept your claim out right.

i don't know what word study you are talking about because the Chinese most definately have a word for holy and use it extensively.

since you say it is only a little digging, please provide proof that the Chinese do not have a word for "holy"

the Mandarin word that i know on top of my head is sheng, which means holy/sacred/saint/sage

My girlfriend is chinese and I asked her. I also looked it up.

You can say "connected with God or a particular religion" or "good in a moral and religious way" or enlightened. If you translate these words as "holy" and try to connect it to Jesus, it's misleading.

You will find this only in Christian websites and forums. This fictitious sutra is said to be the work of a William G. Singleton. Is this a real person or fictitious? Sutrapridot is supposed to be kept in Praising Temple, Chiengmai. Is Praising Temple real or fictitious? W.G. Singleton got a copy of this sutra from Wat Phra Sing ChiangMai with the permission from Phra Sriwisutthiwong in Bangkok. Does Venerable Phra Sriwisutthiwong know anything about this allegation? When I googled for these names, only Christian websites appear. This tells much on the authenticity of Sutrapridot.

Since it is guaranteed that this copy is accurate according to the original, that there is no error in transmission, then I can guarantee that the contents of the Sutrapridot is not Buddha's words and teachings.

Buddha has attained nibbana (nirvana) - freedom from the cycle of rebirths. Nirvana does not mean the highest heaven. Noble Eightfold Path is the way to the attainment of nirvana. All other religions teach the way to heaven but only Buddha teaches the way to attain nirvana.

As you see, Buddha's teaching is completely different from those in Sutrapridot. Sutrapridot is most probably written by some unscrupulous and propagandist Christians. And this piece of fiction is where I suspect ignorant Christians like Steve Cioccolanti and Rony Tan pick up from about Buddha's teaching and Buddha prophesized the coming of Jesus.

yes i do... the point of the passages was to explain to the priest how nobody can merit their way into nirvana. when the priest inquires further as to how to reach nirvana, Buddha explains in detail that a Holy One will be born for this purpose, how He will do this for everyone, and it will happen when He dies. He also goes on to describe His appearance and how we will know it is Him.

this is not rocket science...

So I guess our definitions of "great detail" differ then.
