How can get a Mason to reveal they are a Mason, even if they want to hide it?

Freemasons are not a secret society. They are a society with secrets. People know who are members of a lodge or especially the Shriners. They ride around in parades on the go karts! They support crippled children and burn centers.

The KKK is a secret society. They obviously don't want people to know who they are.

BUT, if he's heard you ranting against Masons or putting Masons down just because they are Masons, then he might hide it from you.

For many years, Masons have been the targets of a lot of abuse. Masons have been exterminated in every fascist and Communist nation in history. Masons have also been persecuted by the Catholic church and many modern fundamentalist Christian and Muslim churches.

I can speak from personal experience that people can let their imaginations run wild when they hear I'm a Mason. Here on GLP, I've been called everything from a "shill" to a Satan-worshipper to much worse.

If your friend is a Mason and he thinks that you will start arguing with him about it, then he might hide it. Technically, we're forbidden from being drawn into arguments about the craft and it's not our place to defend the craft. To the anti-Masons, they have no reason to believe us anyway because you can't understand what Masonry is unless you're a Mason. We are just supposed to lead by example and represent Masonry by being just, neat and clean, charitable and devoted to the Lord.

That's not true. Masons are not required to wear a ring. Some Masons don't even have a ring. I wear mine regularly but I also wear others in its place. I'm a jeweller so I have to wear jewelry that I sell when I'm working.

The "no ring, no Mason" thing is definitely wrong.

weird wonder why they wear those rings if they're hiding it? not to mention the bumper stickers; ya know the ones that say "to be 1 ask 1"

I don't know much of how the lower levels operate or if they would even have reason to hide it [since most of them know next to nothing about it's history, true meanings and consider it nothing more than some club that does charity etc]. So if it's some higher degree the answer is - you can't, because they aren't stupid.

have yet to discover why some hold such animosity towards masons. have met masons and and they seemed quite nice. many famous individuals have been masons. perhaps people despise what they do not understand or are not allowed to understand. am curious but it does not make me loathe them but rather respect what they have added to the world.

All I have ever known were proud of it.
Wore rings openly and now have license plates,etc.
Never known any Mason that hid the fact.

Easy masons have 2 meetings a month your required to attend the stated meeting every month find the lodge in his town google masonic lodge and town name he will probably be listed as a member on web site if he is an officer if not it will say the dates meetings held and go to the meeting they will have a meal and ask you to leave before meeting the temple has open meetings where public is allowed

Masons are not secretive and dont hide it they have nothing to hide all these theorys are fake you can look up all the rituals and symbols on google believe me if they were so secret you would not even know anything about them

The state gives me a special 32 plate for my truck. I'm not ashamed of being a Mason. If I detected anything nefarious, I would resign immediately. It's fun to have boogie men, isn't it?

I have never read such a pile of crap in all my life. Just ask me. You can go knock on the door of any lodge and ask anything you like. There are very few things that cannot be told to you. The lesson here is do not believe everything you read. This thread actually made me laugh.
