Make the shrink work for his money and cure your depression without drugs. It is hard to know if the people around you really care about you or just the money. Maybe you should downsize your lifestyle so people think you are just well off instead of rich. The more material things you have the more things there are to take care of and they become a burden. Try a simple lifestyle. Maybe you will like it. I was born into a rich family but left it all by choice. Couldn't stand it - any of it. I did, and do, love my family but just hated the lifestyle. I'm more of a back-to-basics person and that is where I found my happiness. That might be too extreme for you but maybe just a downsizing and people won't know right off the bat that you have money. Then you will know who your real friends are. I also find that being out with nature often, on a daily basis, does wonders for depression. |
