of all my rich friends, I do not know of one that is entirely happy ... there is always something stressing them big time and they always look sad and always complain

yet, all of my poor friends always laugh and are happy and merry ... they live life to the full, because they have learned to live and cope with stress ... they have learned not to give a shit about trivial matters

When we start to get tired of materialism (like now) then we are moving toward a higher state of development as a species. If you have achived a higher state of material wealth, CONGRADULATIONS to you (if you earned it honestly or inherited it from honest hard workers). TRAVEL. TRAVEL. TRAVEL. See the world and all its amazing faces. Get out of the circle of people who are making you feel so down and experience the life that material wealth can bring. It sounds as though your joy has left awhile back; sometimes it leaves little by little without telling us.

You sound rich without the riches, for you are starting to question things, its a breakthrough actually.

I am just coming out of a three year journey that had moments of great sadness, in hindsight, it was the beginning of future joy that I could only dream of...in the process I found my purpose and soon to be published, with a screenplay coming next from the story.

I pray my friend you will reach out to the universe to lead to where your yet to be discovered real happiness is waiting for you to hold.

Must be nice. Me an my wife have 2 kids and work our butts of just to get behind. I need a new vehicle because mine is on its last leg and i cant afford a better piece of crap to get the girls to school and me amd my wife to work. How about a little help? I saw that you are sad! Well, I am very sad also. I have 2 small kids 4 years old and 22 months old and I can't seem to get on my feet. I am in danger this month of losing my home, and my babies and I are going to be homeless if i don't come up with a solution.
I know you are probably saying,"Why is she telling me this?" or "why should I care?" But just to let you know I am already used to hearing that already! I am used to doors being slammed in my face,and people turning their back on me. My so called friends used to love to come to my house and take advantage that I had happiness and peace, and what I thought was stability for my babies. I give and give and never got anything in return. But also Never did expect anything either.
Now I am outta work, my car broke down, couldn't pay my rent this month,and in danger of my kids and I becoming homeless. I don't want to be another statisitic living off of people's tax dollars.
My dream of someday opening up my own motel, and eventually furthering my education, has almost overnight gone down the drains.
I am not so much worried about myself,as for my 2 kids I am dying inside with panic and I am terrified.I do not desire to fail as a mother.
So I just hope that you listening to my troubles , made you forget about being so sad. <3

My mom and dad immigrated to America from China, many years ago. They came to America in 1973 during the Mao era to escape poverty and seek work, housing, and a better future. My dad has worked as a chef, construction worker, taking various jobs to support the family. My mom has worked continuously as a seamstress. Both of them worked extremely long hours in hopes of achieving the American dream. They are not in the best of health, living with their work related aches and pains.


They pushed me to be the best in school and I was able to achieve an education. But because of the economy, we are just barely scraping by.

Our apartment currently has cracks and leaks everywhere. It is a danger to us and it looks like it might collapse at any point. We do not have the money to make repairs. What I'm asking is for you kind folks out there to donate a dollar or more to help us pay for the repairs.

Also, if it is not too much to ask for, your contributions would also go towards helping my mom and dad take a vacation, something that they have not done in many years to see their friends & family back in China. Just for about two weeks so they can step away from the madness and stress that comes with living in this stressful city.
