strangely, I have many friends who are millionaires, and even multi-millionaires

what I have learned in my life, is that everyone has stress in their life, be it that their wife's or husbands are cheating, or their kids are drug addicts, or worrying if the business will do well


and when it comes to stress, money does not matter at all, no matter how much you earn or how much you own

some of my friends who always laugh and joke and who are happy, are really poor ... they know how to cope with stress and there is always laughter in their homes and they are great people to hang out with ...

the richer folk always look miserable, and so do their kids

but saying that, I'm poor and would not mind having extra cash ... am sure that I would be a lot happier

You never know if people like you for your money or yourself.

I feel sad because there's too much people in dire needs of help and I don't have enough.

I feel sad because all those sheeple dumbfucks are happy when they don't realize that the system fucked em up real good, them and their parents/friends/kids. I'm sad for them.

Sounds like you have depression OP. I agree with others on this thread that finding a purpose or a meaning in your life would be helpful to you but it is essential that you give to yourself also.

Perhaps you could find a good therapist to help you out, Jungians are a good choice because they have done at least 600 hours of therapy themselves before they qualify also they study a good few more years than regular psychiatrists - that way the unconscious 'stuff' in the room is pretty much all yours to be looked at and processed. If you do your homework you could find a therapist who is very aware of the current world situation, so you would be able to share the heaviness of that with them too.

An inspirational book to read would be 'Man's search for meaning' by Victor Frankl - he survived concentration camps in WW11 and aside from luck at not making the gas chambers, his survival was largely down to his strength of spirit and attitude.

As for people loving you for real - do you love yourself for real? Do you ever listen to your internal monalogues - how kind and loving are you to yourself?

I just made a list of all the things that are stressing me out or bringing me down right now and every single one of them could be completely solved or greatly improved by money. If I had a million dollars, I would be one happy girl.

of all my rich friends, I do not know of one that is entirely happy ... there is always something stressing them big time and they always look sad and always complain

yet, all of my poor friends always laugh and are happy and merry ... they live life to the full, because they have learned to live and cope with stress ... they have learned not to give a shit about trivial matters

this is fact, but I also agree, a few extra pounds will make me a lot happier
