It is all integrated fields of reality. Each 'layer' of fields has properties that 'allow' manifestation of particular energy patterns (ours is charge/field and movement, which when stable allows light to pierce through from another layer, into ours).

I think the super-luminal field of reality has a different 'pattern' that it uses to manifest a different existence, but the 'structure' may be somewhat the same though not identical, so function is slightly altered as well. This is scalar in nature though...

This overall view of things is scalar as well, and existence inside the integrated fields of reality has massive influence on the consciousness that is residing within the particular reality at that moment.
