Before I even look at that thread...damn...I was looking into Methylmercury...as part of the whole primordial soup thing regarding the gulf. It is naturally occurring but normally contained within methane hydrates and other things. I was looking it up because someone I was in school with back in 2004 was studying autism and how melting of permafrost would release more of it. I always found her thesis fascinating.
