good observations
cern is indeed looking for an element (particle) that possess shape memory
what they desire is a element (particle) that in it`s natural state possess 0 weight but when force is applied it manifests weight
when the force is not applied it returns to it`s 0 weight state
this has taken them into our non material dimensions because force, as described by cern, can and does only exist when two particles of weight touch thus they are experiencing an unusual physiological experience of observing that which can not exist
