Did you see the moon near the planets last night – March 24, 2012? The sky will be spectacular in the west after sunset tonight (March 25), too, with the waxing crescent moon and the planet Jupiter very close to each other in the evening twilight sky. Plus Venus is nearby – the sky’s brightest planet. You’ll see Jupiter and the moon below Venus in the west after sunset. The famous Pleiades star cluster – also known as the Seven Sisters – is above Venus. Enjoy this sky scene. If you’ve been watching, you know … Jupiter will soon sink into the sun’s glare.

My take? There are lots of "serial books" geared toward young adult audiences written by teams in publishing houses. This series seems more like a highly creative author cashing in on the urban fantasy/scifi trend that's popular among adult readers as well. I don't see a larger conspiracy at work being an avid reader myself. Some times certain stories just take hold. Like Jim Butcher, love his stuff, loads of myth and magic. Do I think he's a psyop? Nope, though I'm sure many would read it and claim the themes are an attempt to manipulate and brainwash an unsuspecting populace. But alas, I feel it's merely entertainment and decent storytelling. And if it gets kids to read, hey... maybe it's not a bad thing. I won't laugh at you if you feel differently, won't argue with you about it. It's all in the perception and we all have very different points of view. That feels awesome to me :)

A new mission to map the gravity field of the Moon

On September 10, 2011 NASA launched the Gravity Recovery and Interior Laboratory (GRAIL) satellites on a mission to the Moon. GRAIL-A and GRAIL-B are nearly identical spacecraft, except that B is designed to follow A around the Moon in the same orbit. The Lunar Gravity Ranging System will measure the distance between the two spacecraft, watching for minute deflections caused by anomalous mass concentrations or mass deficits beneath the Moon’s surface.

In the image at the top of the page, anomalous areas of increased and decreased expectations were mapped by the Lunar Prospector in 1998-1999. Anything in yellow indicates what computer models of the Moon predicted. Red and purple mean that there is a higher gravity field than expected, while blue and green indicate a lower field. On the left, red concentrations that do not correspond to simulations do correspond to the great maria, or “seas” on the Moon. The five largest are Mare Imbrium, Mare Serenitatus, Mare Crisium, Mare Humorum and Mare Nectaris. On the right, or the farside of the Moon, circular areas of lower gravity can be seen...................

Exactly.The very same phenomenon, differing only in frequency (and thus wavelength).

Frequency and wavelength are wave properties, and since there can't be waves of nothing, there must be a suitable medium filling space and through which waves can propagate. That medium must obviously be the substance of the waves themselves. Just as waves of water propagate through a medium comprised of particles of water, light waves must propagate through a medium comprised of particles of light. Radio waves are just low-frequency light waves and so must propagate through the same medium as light. That would be the universal medium, the photonic aether.

The moon, that giant lump of rock that has fascinated poets and scientists alike, may be about to get even more interesting. A new analysis of isotopes found in lunar minerals challenges the prevailing view of how Earth's nearest neighbor formed.

Most scientists believe Earth collided with a hypothetical, Mars-sized planet called Theia early in its existence, and the resulting smash-up produced a disc of magma orbiting our planet that later coalesced to form the moon. This is called the giant impact hypothesis. Computer models indicate that, for the collision to remain consistent with the laws of physics, at least 40% of the magma would have had to come from Theia. ........
