Officially we are not supposed to plant until after memorial day. I always plant early. I have such a small plot I can cover everything if needed.

crab grass sucks! Even with a barrier it still lurks its way in.

Luckily we do not have many ticks in out area. A few miles north or south is a whole different story. Crab grass grows everywhere. Even on top of mulch with weed protector underneath. Their is no such thing as a weed freed garden.
