I ran into a man who said its a matter of manipulating the volume of a particle attached to a space haul thru accelerated velocity using particle accelerators. I believe it would be much more efficient however to manipulate the density of a particle thru accelerated vibrations while suspending the particle in an electro-magnetic field. Ironically I think this is some of the technology the Nazi regime was experimenting with towards the end of Hitler's reign.
