Hugs you back :) I remember my first OBE when I was almost seven. A drunken lady rear-ended us and I jumped out on impact. I remember hovering and watching as my cousin pulled my body from the wreck, then I jumped back in. I've done this many times, spontaneously, not always when I was in danger or anything... it's hard to explain. I don't know how to do it, it just happens, lmao. It's one reason I prefer not to drive, I can go for a year without anything untoward happening, then boom! I will say it's colored my view on soul and spirit. I've never bought into the body being all there is, it just seems like a vehicle I drive around so I can type and talk to other folks. I actually feel sorry for the other 90% who never experience this.
 Quoting: Bea Nameless

Not sure I have ever experienced it. Must be amazing and scary at the same time. I do think our body is just a vessel. Its what gets us around on this planet. But, your mind can take you anywhere you want to go.

More water on the moon: NASA finds two-mile-deep crater which has ice scattered across a quarter of its surface

Ice may lie scattered across up to a quarter of the surface of a crater on the moon.

NASA spotted bright illuminations in images returned from the Shackleton crater, which is located on the moon's South Pole.

I've had one. It freaked me out big time. I think at the time I was reading about ufos and stuff so I thought I was being taken lol! It was at night and I felt this weird energy at all my chakras and then all of a sudden I was a few feet above kind of swaying. I screamed and was in a flash back in my body. I think if I didn't have the fear/mindset, it would of been an awesome experience.

I grew up having lucid dreams pretty easily. Then it stopped for the most part in my teenage years. But, I've always had excellent dream recall.

I think it comes from some kind of natural ability, and tons of practice.

Also, I think there are specific experiences that act as triggers.

For example, one time I decided to do transcendental meditation inside my lucid dream. I had an incredible experience, and after that, things began happening with more and more frequency.

Now, I can make them happen every night if I wish. But, normal OBE's are boring. Astral travel is fun, but there are a lot of 'nasties' out there. Then, there are the dark places. Lastly, there are different 'worlds' or realities or environments.

All of them, except for the normal OBE, are 'realer' than this life. This causes problems that make normal waking life difficult to adjust to.

Now, I have more memories while in my altered states, than I do in this waking life. And, there are some places over there that you do not want to leave. It is a million times more complex than here...and a million times simpler.

It felt like a natural state, even that first time. I was more afraid of going back in than staying out... For good reason, the pain was intense. I didn't jump back into my skin until I knew I would be taken care of. There was so much adrenaline that day, the pain immediately after was fuzzy, but I remember that pain the next morning after bones were set to this day. But the in/out convinced me there was more than this. I think it's the difference between suspecting that or having faith and knowing it absolutely.

When I was in my 20's, I used to be envious of Robert Monroe when reading his books. He seemed to have so many experiences, and I thought it would be so cool to experience reality in the way he did. He had notable experiences about once a month, with dryer times, of course.

Now, I have had many, many, many more experiences than him. I have fully mastered lucid dreaming. I can have OBE's. I astral travel. I go to places that are literally impossible to explain. I create myself into non-human things. I make myself into pure energy. I experience these things as a reality more real than here.

I often wondered what the repercussions were/are going to be. I go many weeks where my consciousness never shuts off, except for the brief moments just after hypnogogic transition to REM. I could completely rewrite science on sleeping and dreaming patterns. Dreams do not only take place in REM.

I dream, and can open my eyes to the bedroom and exist in multiple 'places' at the same time. I can close one eye and open the other and see my dream taking place, and see my bedroom at the same time.

It goes on, and on.

I should go to a Sleep center where they study all this. They would have a field day with me.

Paravicini is a musical savant nicknamed the "human iPod". He was born 25 weeks premature, and although oxygen therapy saved his life he incurred brain damage and now suffers from severe learning difficulties and autism. He is blind, unable to read Braille and can barely count, let alone read music, but he possesses an extraordinary gift: he can play anything after hearing it only once. For Ockelford, now a professor of music at Roehampton University, the concerts will mark the next stage in a remarkable relationship that began when Paravicini first burst into his classroom. Since then, he has acted as Paravicini's teacher and mentor, and has even written his biography, In The Key Of Genius.
