i've always had a pet theory about the universe being more of a "grandfather's axe" thing than the big bang thing. it involves the whole actually infinite in four dimensions (not the limited flat-earth universe of the big bang,) in a constant state of renewal. no beginning. no end. total recycling, if you will.

you're right in that the gravity cosmology creationism needs putting to bed but with so much money at stake what will they do? it's one hell of a climb-down and questions will inevitably be asked.
