Compartmentalization is death. As long as classification can cross pollinate, it can still be of value, IMO. I'm not saying knowledge cannot be expounded and grown upon like a fertile substrate. It solely stands as a replacement for awareness. We are either aware or taking someone else's word for it. When we are aware, we see dynamic uses. When we solely see knowledge and classification of Orders, Kingdoms and Phyla; We are left with repeating and playing the game of belonging. It's more a statement of the type of conciousness rather than the datum it abstracts.
