Yeah. I guess you're right, OP.

I ended a 20 year relationship this past year with an Aries guy myself.

Go easy on him ,friend.

We're a pretty amazing group if you give us Aries a chance.

Happy 2011.

Aries female checking in.

2010 was a HELL of a year and NOT in a good way.

Does anyone know if 2011 will be better for us?

Thanks.

people that truly know me say i'm very ambitious, that when i want something i get it, no matter the consequences. i somewhat agree with this. and i'm a taurus.

but then again, those that truly know me also say i'm more of a gemini than a taurus, perhaps because i was born on the cusp.

LOL! I don't even know you, and from what you say you like...music, the arts, astrology, adventure...you are a Gemini. Looking at my charts, you are one day away from being a Gemini, so you have Gemini traits. I'm May 24th. I know what we like and want.

i am sorry you had to end a 20 year relationship. i can't even imagine what that must be like.
and don't get me wrong, i really like the aries, but i don't think they're relationship material, at least not in my case, maybe.

we do have great conversations, this i have to admit. it's more me talking and him listening, but not because i take over (though i'm very talkative) simply because he says he's more of a listener.

this actually bothered me in the beginning, that i'd have to fish things out from him; he'd rarely initiate any type of conversation. we could be in his room watching movies, doing our own work, just silent the two of us. to him these were great moments. but i wanted interaction!!!

he's so introverted, so quiet, so passive at times.

Too funny. I was married to an Aries for 30 years! Just about everytime we were on the phone, I would talk and wait for him to respond. I'd think we got disconnected because there was silence. I'd say, "Are you still there?"
He'd respond, "Yeah...I'm still here."

Hey, OP.

I was just thinking...

I've dated a lot (I'm 50 and single) and have noticed similar traits in the guys I've dated who are born under the same sign.

I don't know but maybe this will help you understand your Aries guy a little better:

An Aries guy has always been a challenge for me. But being an Aries gal I enjoy it.

But you really gotta be on top of things to keep them mentally, emotionally and physically stimulated.

Frankly, I imagine more laid-back people would tire quickly of it.

Which may explain why so many of us are still single at 50. tounge

I detest telephones and always have.

If I want to talk to someone I'll find a way to be with them.

I think Aries are masters at voice mail and caller ID.

Not that we're rude but if we're home we're home for a reason and it's usually to rest.

Go easy on us. We expend a lot of energy and need our down time or we get cranky.

Exactly. I don't understand why this is rude on our part.

Can we figure out a better way to communicate this to others because those I love are always hurt when I don't want to yap on the phone?

I think the Aries mind compartmentalizes things. Like when you want to talk, Youd get together with that person you care about and talk, When youre at home, youre resting and want to do your thing like resting

. Similiar to the Bible saying, theres a time and place for everything. unlike other people wanting to talk on the phone while driving, while shopping, while eating. lol...

I think its your focus, Aries can have laser focus on things if need be, but one at a time

That nails it. Don't play "chick games", it confuses us. We know that initially that's the way it works, but once we have a relationship going it's all about trust/loyalty. Did you try to make him jealous to test him? (You know you did, after all you're a chick) Big mistake. We're not going to risk our "fire", (love/passion/heart) with someone we can't trust. We do love our private time and to us a week isn't always a long time. I think sometimes we give our lovers enough rope to see if you'll hang yourself (metaphorically speaking). How was the sex? If you have to think about that question, then yeah, he probably just lost interest and didn't feel a soul connection. But, ultimately you probably tried to make him jealous and he lost interest in you.

 Quoting: AL MURREDIN

Al, I missed how you know so much about Aries but you just nailed something I'd never even realized.

I DO compartmentalize.

I work hard and I play hard and I rest hard.
And I don't mix those areas up. Ever.

Interesting.

Thanks.
Be Still and know that I am God.
