The last few days when I've went to turn it on after waking up, it has taken several tries for it to actually work. It would turn on and turn off at the same time. Is there anything I can do about this, or is it a case of when it goes, it goes here? No one is perfect. Monitors can be replaced without replacing the whole computer. Or for that matter any bit of hardware can. I got the current monitor I am using (17" LCD) screen several years ago when I was still using the Gateway computer tower with Window's XP. Last year I upgraded the tower with an HP Windows 7 Duel core processor still using the monitor and the ergo, cordless keyboard and mouse. Most modern HD flat screen TV's are designed to be directly plugged into a computer. So when the monitor goes just tell them you need a new TV.
