Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1216142It seems to have started with a major storm system that passed over the area. Im not making any hypothesis here but it is a helluva time of year to get caught in the sky with a system like that coming thru. Vicious updrafts that can exceed 100 knots...major hail potential and a VERY cold system. A bird/flock could be literally sucked up into one of these, battered by hail, frozen solid and then plummet to the ground..where they land frozen and break. But that doesnt explain the fish.... |

Quoting: RememberThis:flicmybic: I was thinking along the same lines. And apparently there is a volcano is Arkansas, possibly emitting poisonous toxins that killed the birds? There is no greater sorrow than to recall happiness in times of misery. |

Louisiana is a bit startling because its the same type of bird that died just a significantly smaller group. |
