Well, this is a hard to say thing. If I lived by the New Madrid Fault I would.
Best one could do is have a standard kit and take harmful items off the walls. I.E. Don't have heavy vases above your head or a large picture above the bed, ect... Or large dressers by the baby crib, ect.
Plan an escape route and plan to meet the other residents at a specific place outside.
Know where your gas shut off is (important).
Keep important documents, cash and vital paper work in ONE carry bag ready to grab and go.
I have kids so a bag of crayons, snacks, drinks, books, toys, ect really helps.
A lot of items you may need, should the home be unsafe, can be stored in the garage in teh furthest corner from the house. Easy to get to from the outside.
Also keep gas in the car incase.
Warm blankets in the trunk, ect.
A little planning can go a long way. And each home, person, is different. Some need diabetic plans, others may be different. Best you can do is run a disaster through your mind and see what you need along the way.
