Hi Lisa, been thinking of you, is there a scriptural subject pressing on your mind of late?

Here's what i think: Thread: "I Desire Mercy, Not Sacrifice" The life, death, and resurrection of Jesus ushered in a whole new covenant. Now we walk by faith.... not trying to keep The Law. Jesus said, it is not what goes into a person that makes them unclean! Once you begin to TRY TO keep The Law, where does it end? Or, would you try to keep every law? Just wondering... what I've learned through the years is that it is learning to walk in the Spirit and to listen to HIS voice. For example....last year I was reading the WORD in the O.T.---I'm not even sure where. But it was talking about some idols....and I heard the voice of the Holy Spirit tell me how some of the TV shows have become like 'idols' to me. At once, I knew it was time to turn the T.V. off and to be more discerning about what I watch. The closer we get to HIM, the more HE will show you how HE wants to you to live. Then HE will give you the grace to do it in HIS strength and not your own. HE just asks us to stay close enought to hear HIM and be obedient when we do hear HIM! Yes, whatever we put before God is now an idol. Stubborness is an idol! For many 'self' is an idol when we put our will before God's.
