i could just be trippin, but i hear a constant, alto pitched humming sound. not super loud or anything, just there in the background, probably only noticeable if you were staying still and just listening for it

is that anything like what you're hearing?

what i hear is a faint whistling sound like a noise disc brakes make when worn down but faint and constant.

its tripping me out. feel kinda dizzy but thats lack of sleep

yea that's pretty close to what i'm hearing. almost a metal type screeching, but somewhat faint. i've heard the ear ringing for quite awhile now, but this sounds different, what we're hearing tonight

Alright....I ran my google earth with point true north. I then cross checcked with a compass app I have on my iPad and it was 6 degrees off. NE Ohio here.

Also...when I flew back to Ohio on Sunday the pilot seemed to be correcting quite a bit. Just a few degrees, like 5 to 10 degrees.

judging by your picture the pilot was probably just adjusting do to drift...due to your fat ass sitting on one side of the plane causing it to constantly bank in that direction

I'm a pilot and the magnetic compass is secondary. If there was any deviation in magnetic headings the FAA would have issued a statement. Primarily I use the gyro compass headings and radio nav. A pilot many times has to compensate for winds.
